Trigger an email notification to value set in a custom ticket field

    Amanda, you would need to use email notification targets. You would need one target for each sales agent (as currently you cannot use a variable). Settings (cog) -> Extensions -> Targets -> add target -> Email target.

    Then I would add a custom drop down field with the sales peoples names that you have created targets for. Finally you would need to add one trigger for each sales agent so when this drop down is set, it performs a notification to that target.

    Hey Monika!

    As far as I know this isn't planned, but there is a post about this sort of thing in our Product Feedback forum, which you can find here: Placeholder Support in Email Targets.

    Nobody else has posted on it yet, but I'd encourage you to add your vote and use case to the post. This is the best way to make sure our Product Managers see your suggestion!

    Thank you Jessie,

    What are the chances that this will be addressed.  There is another issue

    (recover deleted tickets) that has many votes, but the issue has been in Planned state for over 4 years.

    Hi Monika,

    I'm afraid I don't have any information on the status of that Feedback request. When we mark posts as "Planned" it means that we will at some point address the request, but it doesn't mean that we're able to start working on it right away. Our development priorities often change as new issues arise and we evaluate where they should fall on our to-do list.

    I see that you're already following the thread in our Product Feedback forum; that's where you'll see any updates on the feature!
