    Yes, Custom Fields for Org/People would be most useful.

    Absolutely. This would cover a lot of issues raised in many different Feature Requests which are all pointing in the same direction => the rules engine in Zendesk is great but it is very limited in spite of its potential, simply because the data model related to "People" is too limited. By allowing the creation of custom attributes for People, the power of Triggers and Automation just gets to a new level.

    This would certainly solve my issue of not having subaccounts. I could have a custom field for site location and actually have custom drop downs for each organization.

    This would greatly help out our company distinguish between librarians and patrons and retrieve the proper information from the proper users.

    For us it would be already enough if we would have the external_id available on the organization. For the next month we can handle it with about 20 organizations to identify by name for our integration to the external ERP's SAP R/3 and SAP Business One. As soon we move over the next part of the support to ZenDesk we need to add about 500 organizations. Based on the fact that different companies in different countries use the same organization name, so the mapping over the name is not possible anymore.

    Our requirement in that case: external_id on the organization

    I new to Zendesk. You should be able to do this with tags - a better solution would be to be able to add customer fields on user and organization.

    It is possible to solve this issue temporary by tags. but it is not a really nice solution, better would be still to have the field external_id on the organization.

    Hey guys, sorry for the non-response. Sometimes we have many feature requests that look very similar to each other and will usually give the most attention to the topic with the most conversation going on inside.
