+1 for us on multiple forums. Our support documents often overlap into multiple areas. At the moment, I'm creating duplicates when needed, but it would be really nice to be able to specify which forum(s) articles should appear in. This would make updating SO much easier. Also easier on the customers who perform a search, and end up with 2 or more of the same articles returned on the search.

Yes, this would be very helpful! We'd like the same functionality (articles can be republished in different categories in the knowledge base). Ideally, there's one parent article and you can pick the other locations where it shows up, that way you only have to edit it in one place etc...

+1 yes, please!  Agree with comments above to have 1 'parent' article/doc that can then also be allocated to other categories/forums, especially since multiple postings lead to significantly more complicated content management.

There are also requests for this feature on this thread -  https://support.zendesk.com/entries/23876108

Huge +1 for us, too.  Please, please, please add.

This would be a huge bonus for us too!  Forgetting to update the same article in 2/3/4 different areas can be a huge issue for our customer support!  Make this happen PLEASE!!

Is this feature being considered by ZenDesk?

Thanks for all the great feedback on being able to post the same article in multiple sections. We like this feature so much that we've added it to the roadmap for Help Center.

Unfortunately I can't give a timeline, but this thread will be updated when we have more details to share.

In the mean time, we are currently working hard on releasing the Help Center API into beta, which can be used to publish content to multiple articles at the same time. I know this might not be an ideal solution, but it could be helpful to some.

Please let me know if you would like to participate in the Help Center API beta and I will make sure that you receive an invite.

+1 This request has been out there for almost 2 years and it's a core feature that should be included!! Forums are often intertwined and it's necessary to be able to post or link the same items in multiple locations

We'd find it really useful too.

would love to test the beta multiple sections API

    +1 for beta testing it.

From a data perspective this ought to be simple, so it's continued absence is worrying.

    Hi everyone,

Andrew mentioned using the Help Center API (which will be available as a beta soon) as an alternative that lets you post content to several articles at the same (still not the same as having one article visible in multiple places). In case anyone hasn't signed up yet, you can sign up for the beta here: https://zendesk.wufoo.com/forms/help-center-api-beta-sign-up/. If you sign up you'll know as soon as the beta is open. I'm not aware of new updates regarding the main feature requested here, I  just wanted to make sure you all have access to the beta if needed.

I'm a totally newbie, just getting started with Zendesk, but this seems like a basic feature.

Couldn't using "tags" allow for an article to appear in multiple places?

Is there an update to this feature being "on the roadmap" yet...please?

  • Andrew Dahl

    Hi Chris,

Unfortunately there is no update yet, other than that this is something that we definitely plan to add to Help Center when time permits. We currently have a packed roadmap with many highly requested features that we try to prioritize as best we can.

+1 from me also.  Reusability of content is key when you have products that cross over customer segments.
