    Thanks David. I found those, but just figured by the statement in the video that there must be other docs as well. They're definitely not 'extensive' and don't follow any of the conventions of a standard api document.

    I'll second James' request.  This http://www.zendesk.com/api/tickets shows for example a nice long list of things in XML form in the show example (i.e., GET/tickets/XX).  I suppose one could use the API to get XML and JSON versions in a browser.  But would that show the complete set of attributes for a ticket?

    I have the same request.  The API documentation that I found  (which is one page) doesn't seem to point to a full list of API functions.

    I'm happy and sad. I'm happy to not be alone but very sad that there is very poor API content. It's not documentation, it's marketing collateral.

    Hi Paul,

    We realize that our API documentation can be better.  A lot better.  We're working on some exciting improvements to our API, one of which is far better documentation.  Stay tuned for this in the coming weeks and months.

    So I guess I am not alone, I cannot get this to work either, not very good documentation on API.

    And... for a company that sells support and knowledge base software, it's pretty pathetic.  Of course, this has been the case with nearly everything I've been encountering regarding docs... the templating with javascript, that was beyond laughable.

    Hi Ian, not yet.  We are still working on a v2 of the API, at which point you will see improved documentation and usability.

    5 days left in Q1 - is there going to be any api update or documentation?

    Hi David,

    Yes, we will be releasing a beta version of API v2 this coming Thursday.  You will see improved documentation as well as strict standardization of collection formatting and pagination.

    We'll also be asking for developer feedback on the API and what you would like to see added.  Please look for our weekly Thursday announcement for more details.

    Hi David,

    I'm afraid I have jumped the gun on this -- we have decided not to release our API documentation but still plan to do so within the next few weeks.  If you have specific questions about the API I can help answer them here in the interim.  My apologies for overpromising on this.
