    Hi David, that is correct, we have some updated documentation coming on that but it's currently gated by our release cycle.  It will be updated by next Thursday.  Thanks for pointing that out!

    I'm getting a 405 when creating new audits.

    https://{{ subdomain }}.zendesk.com/api/v2/tickets/{id}/audits.json

    Is this functionality still not enabled?  Any idea on when it will be?

    Dave, you cannot create new audits -- audits are a read-only record of what activity has occurred on a ticket.  When you make a PUT or POST to a ticket, new audits will be created.

    Thanks Steven!  I've got it figured out.

    Just to double confirm, there's no way to choose the email addr of who's submitting the comment.  It's always whoever is logged in right? I'm building an import script to load the contents of our current support forum to a zendesk one.  It will be a bit strange if I was the only one to make any comments on that older data :)

    Just a quick question on this topic: how do you add a comment to a ticket via the API v2? If you can't create new audits, how do you add a comment via the API on the ticket object itself.

    Hi Adam, just realized that we didn't document this as well as we should have.  You would want to pass something like this to the ticket.  We will update the docs to reflect this.

    PUT /api/v2/tickets/12345.json

    {
      "ticket":{
        "comment": {
          "value":"I am a comment body"
        }
      }

    Your example has an error "value" should be "body"

    PUT /api/v2/tickets/12345.json

    {

      "ticket":{

        "comment": {

          "body":"I am a comment body"

        }

      }
