@Nicci: Note that your suggestion would only work temporary. After a few days, the image will not work anymore!

Please read the note in the article: "Do not click on the image link before opening the attachment, which opens a new browser tab. The URL in the new browser tab will not work, as this includes a temporary token."

Best is once you have uploaded your image in your ticket, to right-click with your mouse on the image name and click "copy image URL"

    Hi there,

Is Admin > Tickets > Attachments Private Attachments the same as Admin > Tickets > Attachments Require authentication to download?

I'm not able to find the setting Private Attachments?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi Emelie!

You are correct! You can find more information on this here: Working with attachments in tickets.

Please let me know if you have any other questions!

I've been struggling with getting this to work. I'm able to attach the image and open it in the modal box, but when I grab the image URL, it still has a token address. I tried using Chrome and Safari, but I can't seem to get the correct URL. Is there a trick to getting the non-token URL from the modal box? This looks like it should be pretty easy.

Hey Mark! Welcome to the Community! I'm really sorry for the delayed response.

Since this is a Community Member Tip it's not technically supported, but hopefully I can help you walk through some troubleshooting.

My first question is, do you have Private Attachments enabled? That's the only thing I can think of off-hand that might cause an issue like this...

    Jessie,

I did have Private Attachments enabled, and I did disable that. What I ended up doing was using the URL that includes a token and tested it with my email account. It seems to be working so I'm okay for the moment. If that URL changes due to the token expiring or something along those lines, then I'll have to revisit this.

    I appreciate the follow-up.

Hello! I am trying to attach an image to an email notification sent to customers when they contact us. I am using this very simple Markdown code:

![Test](link to a .png image public host)

When testing this email notification, it sends the exact string above rather than the image itself. Does Markdown not work for email notifications, or is something else at play? What's the best way to send the requester an email notification including an image?

On a sidenote, the same string does work if sent as a public reply to the requester, but not in the Trigger with email notification.

    Hi Christopher!

Where are you adding the Markdown? To the email notification template in your settings, or to the email body in a trigger?

    Hello Jessie,

I am adding it to the Email body in a trigger, since this should only fire for a specific set of received tickets.

    Hey Christopher, thanks for clarifying!

Markdown isn't actually supported in Triggers (among other places, which you can see listed here). So you'll want to use HTML to set up that pretty link. :) Hope that helps!

Hi, I am trying to add our WeChat account QR code to some agents' signature but the result is that the image is enlarged. I tried to find a command in Markdown to adjust the image size but all commands I found did not work. Any ideas what to do? When I tried smaller size of the original image, it got enlarged as well and its even more blurry.

Thanks a lot for any advice!

    Hello Jiri,

Unfortunately, we do not have a version that supports sizing commands at this time.

The best workaround is to add the QR code image in your email template. This way you can control the sizing options with HTML. More info on editing the email template here: Customizing template for your email notifications
