    Hi Wes,

thanks for your ever useful suggestion in customizing the HC.

Can I lock down certain Topics inside the Community to prevent user to post new questions?
I would like the have some Topics as a real FAQ list, where users can just add comments to existing questions (behaving just like the Knowledge Base actually...). For such Topics I would make the "Post Question or Idea" button to disappear.
Other Topics instead can be open for questions, behaving like a Forum.

Since the Community page can not be changed from the "Edit Theme", I'd really appreciate your help to know how to manage it!

@Daniele - I would need the exact details but yes it may be possible with some coding.  We could hide the button from the get go and only show it when you are within that topic but we would have to also hide a few things from the dropdown list withing the Post Questions or Ideas screen.  I'm I heading down the right track here.

@Wes - you're totally right! I didn't realize that the drop-down menu also give the full topic list... so yes, it would be necessary to filter out them as well.

To tell you more, please have a look to our Community Page:

we would like to have just the "Question and Answers" and the "Feature Requests" topics open for questions, giving instead the possibility to insert comments only inside other topics' threads.

Thanks in advance for your help!

@Daniele - Hopefully I will get to work on this a little more this afternoon.  I've got half of the code working.

@Daniele - I need to create an account so that I can post a question to see how I need to hide the topics in the dropdown.   I signed up but haven't seen an email as of yet.  My account is support@wesdrury.zendesk.com  Can you go in and verify that account.

@Sorry to bother you again but its not letting me in.  Can you verify that I typed the email address in correctly and maybe reset my password.  I will change the password as soon as I get in, you can also edit you comment after you post it so others will not see the password.

@Wes - the email was ok, I reset your password, you should have received the email now, correct?

By the way: how can I set/force the password for a user? Am I missing something?

I haven't got an email as of yet but I will check it after lunch and hopefully I will have one.

As far as the password reset goes, it all depends on how you setup your Zendesk so you may not see that option as usually its in your dropdown when viewing a user account.  I see that option on my test account but in my Production account I don't as we use Single Sign On.
