    Hi Juline,

The Caller ID on outgoing call is the number selected in the call console and not just a random number. I'm aware people would like to set the caller ID on all calls to be a specific number such as the company 1800 number and this is something we will be addressing.

I would like to have our company name show up on the Caller ID.  "TrialReach".

    Any update here?

One thing to add here is why this is important for us as we roll out Zendesk Voice. We have a general toll free number which hits a PBX but then if you ask for support, we'll forward to Zendesk. We want people to reach us through our general number and hide the support number so they have a consistent experience when they call.

We would also be interested in getting the name of our business on the caller ID.

    Thank you!

We are a multinational retailer, and use a USA number for our main Zendesk number.  We have a number of international numbers forwarding to this number, so it is unacceptable that the outgoing CID is this number.

I see that this issue has been outstanding for nearly TWO YEARS!

Is there an immediate work around to hide the CID while you resolve the issue?

If not then we will need to move to another helpdesk software provider.

    Thankyou.

Computer telephony integration via Tenfold can give you caller ID on BOTH outgoing and incoming calls. We support Zendesk integration with more than 150 phone systems. https://www.tenfold.com/integrations/zendesk/

This is a real problem for our company. We pay a lot of money each month for Zendesk Talk and having no plan for this is not really acceptable.

+1  Every time I call a location it says "Greenwood" in the caller ID, a town about 30 miles away and totally unrelated to us.  People never know who I am and comment about the caller ID.

Please fix this.  It seems like a no brainer.  I am sure if you took a survey you would get 100% postitive resonse for this feature.  Every other phone service does this. It is so unprofessional not to have that.  It makes it really hard to call customers back and have them answer since it looks like a spam call.  Please fix this.

Unfortunately, I was told it wasn't even on the table and obviously people have been asking for years without any response from zendesk.

Just so you know the integration with tenfold starts at $500.00 a month.  So a lot to pay for a Company caller ID

    Hi everyone,

As Megumi kindly pointed out above, we've now released Outbound Caller ID. You’re now able to select the numbers your customers see when you place an outbound call to deliver a better and more consistent customer experience. In addition, Talk Advanced customers can now add an external number that they own, for example their company’s 1-800 number, to be used as the caller ID for outbound calls.

    Cheers,

    Caroline
