When I view a forum topic at the bottom are some simple stats that include subscribers to that topic.

@Spike - I believe your screenshot is of the old web portal and Brad may be on the new Help Center.

@Brad - are you referring to the Help Center

    Hi

I'll let Brad answer for himself, but I'd certainly like to know for Help Center. Not just how many, but the details of who is following each section or article. Ideally to be able to add / remove people as well.

@Phil - This is not possible in the Help Center that I know of.  Also looking at the API documentation, I don't see where you can get a list or be able to add/remove people.  Hopefully this will be available in the future.

You can vote and subscribe over in the Product Feedback area.  There is an article on the need for bulk subscribe.

@Wes and others, I am specifically talking about the Help Center (community v2). In addition to wanting to have an idea of how many people are interested in specific sections, topics, or articles, we need to notify or solicit feedback from them directly. However, I don't wan to solicit feedback if there is not enough subscribers.

    Hey Brad!

If you're in the Community V2 beta you'll have access to some new API endpoints that'll let you you pull that information! Check out Christian's comment from 8/28 on this thread: API Feature Request: HC Community API.

    Hope that helps!

edit: Help Center API endpoints can now be found here.

I see this feature is currently available for community posts in the new help center communities. There is a counter next to the follow button that totals the people following.

Even knowing how many, without knowing their usernames, would be very helpful in determining how popular and useful an article is.

Can you also make it available for sections and articles in the Help center?

@jessie - this link ( API Feature Request: HC Community API) no longer works.

Is this 'general release' now - if so can you point me in the right direction?

Ideally we'd like to be able to see the number of subscribers in reporting, or on the section pages etc.

    Hey Andrew! Good catch!

Now that Community V2 is available to everyone, the beta threads have been archived. You can find all the Community API endpoints in our Help Center API documentation. The stuff pertaining specifically to subscriptions can be found here: https://developer.zendesk.com/rest_api/docs/help_center/subscriptions

@jessie, are there plans to add the count to the Help Center articles and not just community posts?  Its very annoying to not be able to see who is subscribed to our articles.

    +1 Jordan.

    @Zendesk,

When will this be added as a core feature?

Yes we want to see this too, to be able to not only see the count of subscribers but who they are.  Also would be useful to fun a report which could detail which organisation people were from etc.  Reports for the help centre are quite underwhelming.

    Hi all -

Thanks for your participation in this conversation. I encourage you to start a thread in the Product Feedback area of the Zendesk Community, where the Product Managers go to hear from our customers about their use-cases. You'll want to give them details such as what the impact to your business is, and how this functionality would improve your workflow.

For example, they'll want to know what you need this information for, how frequently you would run these reports, etc.

I can also tell you that there are new reporting tools in the works. I can't share any specifics about what it will look like or when it will be available, but they are working on some new things for you.
