As some of you may know, there's a limitation on the Zendesk - JIRA integration, which currently only allows one Zendesk integration per JIRA instance. For those of you that, like us, outsource their development team, this workaround may be handy if you're looking to hook up Zendesk to JIRA until Zendesk fixes this issue (which to my understanding, will be later this year! - Thx Max!)
1- Open a Zapier account.
2- Set up a new Zap to push from Zendesk to JIRA. Ours is set up to push when a new ticket lands on the view 'On-hold' (which is how we track tickets sent to development.)
3- I added a filter to looks for all tickets tagged as 'bug' in that view. Also great for internal tracking.
4- Set up the JIRA action to add a label to all issues raised - ie, 'zendesk_bug'
5- Create a new board view to track all issues with that label.
To push things over seamlessly, I've also set up a ticket field as a checkbox called "Send to JIRA?" that will automatically tag the ticket as 'bug' and then push it over for me.
Now the sad part is there is no way to track the issue as it moves from stage to stage from Zendesk, but at least it lets you push automatically, and you can see the tickets progress from within the board view in JIRA.
