"Google Inbox" product mangles zendesk ticket thread
We've received complaints from several of our customers that email threads received from the Zendesk support portal have completely mangled formatting when viewed in the "Google Inbox" product. They come through formatted correctly when using "Google Gmail". The list of issues include: - The most immediate reply shows up as collapsed. |
Has anyone experienced this and/or are there any workarounds or fixes?

Having the same issue. Wonder if its something with the email HTML template.

Indeed it was. The friendly folks at Zendesk support figured out that it was a horizontal rule '----' in our email signatures.
We tested out using the stock "modern" template and it was still broken as long as our email signatures contained the horizontal rule.
If you've got one, remove it and you'll be golden.

I looked at doing this but cannot find the --- anywhere in our signatures or custom email template. Is anyone else experiencing this issue and found a different solution?
