GDPR and multibrand
Hello,
we use a multibrand setup for several accounts, but with GDPR we have a bit of an issue:
As a customer can contact us for different brands and would like to be anonymised or deleted for Brand A, the customer should still exist for Brand B; as we process the data, we cannot let the customer know he is also registered for Brand B.
As the requester is unique, but not unique for a specific brand it cannot be anonymised/deleted.
Anyone out here found a workaround for this? Using several Zendesk instances is not an option for us.
Thanks,
Jeroen

Hi Jeroen!
With Multibrand, you actually only have one list of customers; your users are not duplicated for each of your brands. So if you delete them from your Zendesk, they will be removed for all of your brands.

Hello Jessie,
I would like to see the ability to remove the user details from one brand, but keep them for another. So it would be great if someone came up with some sort of work around, I imagine we're not the only ones with this issue.
Thanks,
Jeroen

I'll be sure to pass that feedback along, Jeroen!

We have built a GDPR Redaction app that helps remove all PII and customer data based on a ticket, a user, or an entire organization. We built this custom for a few clients then made it available as a general app.
Find it in the Marketplace here: https://www.zendesk.com/apps/support/gdpr-redaction-app/
