What is the problem?
It’s impossible for a user to create and publish articles within Guide Admin on Safari on iOS, or Chrome on iOS.
Key areas of the interface (drop-down arrow to publish, section selection, keywords, answer bot actions) that are crucial to content creation and publication aren’t clickable - no matter what you try.
The usual pinch and squeeze won’t resize it to access the buttons, and goes to the usual Safari tab view.
Have been able to replicate the problem on current production versions of iOS, as well as current v11 and v12 beta releases.
Why is it a problem?
You cannot create or manage support articles on the go. The Admin Web interface is the only way, and none of Zendesk's apps (for iOS at least) offer the ability to manage content within Guide.
How do you solve the problem today?
Draft as much content as you can offline, either within the Guide Admin UI or another word processing/notes tool; then wait until the user has access to a desktop computer and complete the required actions there.
How would you ideally solve the problem?
Update and test the Admin UI web code to a proper responsive layout, to ensure all features are accessible for all screen resolutions.
How big is the problem (business impact, frequency of impact, who is impacted)
- Impact: Significant disruption to workflow - prevents customers from ensuring their Guide content is up to date, and can be maintained effectively whenever and whenever, from whatever device, when there is a need to do so.
- Frequency: Always, and persistent
- Who is impacted: Instance Administrators, Designated content authors
