@Peter: This section of the community is intended for product feedback and suggestions, not general support questions.

The first question i'd ask is what's the use case behind wanting to do this? Who are you intending to print large numbers of articles, and what is their intended use once printed?

tl;dr: Printing out articles provided in Guide - either individually, or as a whole section - is never, ever, something I would actively recommend.

My reason for saying this and asking a question to understand the why behind your post - is that once content is printed, it puts a business at risk.

Rather than users/agents/etc coming to one place for the single source of truth; people are referring to printed copies of information that can, and do, get outdated frequently. This of course can lead to wrong information being given to customers, and creating even greater impacts for satisfaction, perception, and resolution.

You'd be much better off improving your communications and information discovery strategies, to ensure all people access the information from a single place, every time they need it.

However, if you absolutely want to be able to print off articles, and the business has understood and accepted the risks of allowing this as an option - then check out these threads:

    Thank you for your answer.
The articles are parts of user manuals, and the users would often like to have a printed version when attending courses. :)

@Per: I'd suggest you'd be better off avoiding print outs in that use case.

Just from a preparation standpoint, it would add significant workload and cost to preparations for delivery of the course that could be easily avoided.

If attendees have electronic access to the materials for the duration of the course, then there's really no reason for printouts, and per the earlier point - by using electronic resources for this information, it gets them into good habits where they're always referring to the most up-to-date version of information from a single source.

Peter - There is a Zendesk app called Knowledge Print PDF Download. It does come at a monthly cost but it's what we use and allows our customers to print an individual article or an entire section of articles. Seems to be working well for us.

Michael - I agree with your perspective and in the most ideal world, everything would be digital. Our customers aren't quite ready for that transition so this offers an easy solution in the meantime. I'm hopeful though that in the next few years, we can remove this and transition to being digital only.
