    Hello Jonathan,

Could you not use a regex field?

I would love to see the date field expanded to include time.  Calculations regarding duration would be much more accessible with the customization of time in reporting and I can see a ton of workflow build around time of day to work on certain tickets.

As Andrew stated above, today you could use RegEx to force formatting on a field if you needed something clean today.  However, I'm all for the addition of a way to track a specific time as there are a ton of use cases from an automation perspective that I can see being valuable.

What's the RegEx format for this? For time? I'm sure this is a simple addition to add.

A time additional to date would be excellent

Any update on a time field?

Extremely interested for our integration where we care about specific time outside of Zendesk that we want to manually enter but also still use for metrics.

Would love to see if there has been any progress on this field.

Any updates ? we wanted to have a field to enter date and time and we were not able to achieve it

A time field would be really helpful for us, as we have teams that are attempting to call customers at a time they have requested, so it really helps to have a field that can be used in the View to be able to identify the tickets by time so an agent has the stack of tickets for 12pm-1pm (for example).

As a workaround, in case anyone on this thread finds this helpful, we have set up a Regex field to provide something similar that is:

    (\d{2})-(\d{2})-(\d{2}) (\d{2}):(\d{2})

So agents put the callback date and time in as DD-MM-YY HH:MM and this field can be used to sort the view by the date and time.  Would definitely still like to see fields that give this option though for triggers and automations as noted by Dan :)

2 years since this request was created and nothing has been done. Having Date/Time fields is absolutely critical in any ticketing system specifically for scheduling and automation rules.

Can we please add this manual Date/Time field? Really, really needing this ASAP.

Also bumping this. Regex is great, and all, but it'd be much better if this was a native field type for all the reasons above.

    Hello @... & @...,

At this time, we, unfortunately, don't have any additional information to share on this product request. I would recommend subscribing to the announcement section of the community to keep up to date on future product releases where we would announce feature updates such as this.

    Best regards.

Though there is the app Due Time - it is not native and I would like this to be a feature also
This is a must for call backs

I think it's a great idea include the hour in the date field.

The problem of use the regex field is that you can't use it in the actions of the views, for example. But you can use the date fields.

Having a timestamp on a field is integral to our business.  We are currently using the below regular expression for date/time format of: DD-MM-YY HH:MM
    \b(3[01]|[12][0-9]|0[1-9])-(1[0-2]|0[1-9])-[0-9]{2} ([01][0-9]|2[0-4]):[0-5][0-9]\b

This regex works but it will not validate the date nor can it be used for any automations, i.e. 31-02-22 is a valid date.

This really should be part of native Zendesk configuration - A timestamp field is a standard feature of any data model and I believe the ZD database already stores a time component to every date field (albeit 00:00).  Please prioritise this on the backlog.

Zendesk, if you are adding this to the roadmap please ensure to add a Timezone selection field.
As not all agents and end-users work in the same geographical location, and if we enable the end-users to submit a time, they must mention on which TZ it is referred to.

Alternatively to Hovtzi's suggestion, simply display the time in the user's and agent's associated TZ but log the submitted TZ behind the scenes. This streamlines the interface and minimizes human error or confusion, but allows for accurate reporting of data.

We would like this function as we are creating a security incident reporting form and not being able to sanitize critical data like time is a big miss.

    Hello!

Do you have an update for us? Any plan to add "Time" value feature to the "Date" field?

    Thank you,

    Joey

+1 this would be great to have available. Having a datetime would be really beneficial - one that is common in most database systems.

Add my vote to this feature as well.

In my case my company wants to build a form for employee terminations. But due to the nature of our business some terminations must happen after a specific time on the designated day.

Currently this is only doable with a calendar field for the day, month, and year. Plus, a separate text field immediately before or after named something like "Do not disable before this time" which is not nearly as convenient for the requester or the agent working on the issue.

At this point even just a dedicated time field type would be better than what we currently have.
