Customize Block Quotes

    Hi Kathleen, you need to add a class in the theme CSS and then apply that class to the text paragraph.

    1.In the CSS, create a class and enter the colors for the background and the left border. In my example, I name the class bluebox and the colors are #A0A0A0 and #FFFFFF.

    .bluebox {
    background-color: #A0A0A0;
    border-left: #FFFFFF solid 5px;

    2. In the source code of your article, apply the class.

    It means this... <p>Tip: Check out this discussion for template ideas.</p>

    ...becomes: <p class="bluebox">Tip: Check out this discussion for template ideas.</p>

    Hope this helps and good luck!

    Thanks for sharing that solution, Angeline! Would you have any interest in writing it up and publishing it as a Community Tip?

    Hello I was wondering if you can provide more detailed instruction on how to add a class css in guide theme. I tried but with no success.

    Hi Antonio,

    Have you had a chance to take a look at our Help Center CSS Cookbook?

    This should hopefully point you in the right direction :)

    Let me know if you have additional questions!

    What am I doing wrong?

    Line 514 and 515 are not valid CSS, but I don't know if that will cause your problem.

    Is your Help Center (and this change) public? If so; can you share the URL? That might be the easiest way to look into it!

    With kind regards,

    I figured out, I had to add it in a different position of the style.CSS.
