Overview Reporting vs Insights Overview

    There is one document that I would recommend looking over more than any other in a situation like this: Discrepancies between Insights and the Reporting Overview

    In this case, I think the discrepancies you are seeing are most likely caused by the inclusion of deleted tickets in the overview, against the exclusion of them within Insights. Does this seem like a feasible cause of the discrepancy? To your knowledge, are tickets occasionally  deleted in your account?
