What should I expect to see when using "Requester Locale" in a query?

    Hey Candace!

Requester Locale is the locale ID associated to the user's language.

Please see Language codes for Zendesk-supported languages for examples of the language codes you can expect to see when reporting on this data.

Thanks, James! Any idea which metric, if any, will allow me to build a report to see the distribution of requests by global region based on the requester's IP?

    Hey Candace!

For those purposes I would recommend the Update Country and/or Update Country and Region attributes from the Ticket Updates dataset.

Please keep in mind that only Ticket Channels that gather IP information (the Email channel for example would not have this information) would include this data. The location information that is associated with the IP address is based off of a database that estimates where the IP address is from, so there is a possibility that the physical location associated with that IP address doesn't match the actual location.  Furthermore, that database occasionally lists the physical location for an ISP office instead of the location customers are accessing the system.  This can be further obfuscated by the use of a VPN as well so please allow for variance based on these factors when reporting on this data.
