Dynamic Content / Localization
CompletedThe dropdown values in our custom fields rely on Dynamic Content, so our global teams can work from a standard set of processes.
In Insights, it seems that these dropdown values automatically display in the English variant of their dynamic content item. In Explore, the dynamic content placeholder is displayed instead.
It would be helpful to enable localization of these items in Explore.

We will have this issue as well, all our customer facing fields use Dynamic Content. Displaying the default translation would be great!

Hi Explore team,
Any insight into whether this is something that will considered? Right now, it makes fields very difficult to read, it's effectively the same as having the tags display as the custom field value.
Thanks!

Hi Zac, Dan,
Terribly sorry for the delay in following up on your feedback, and thanks for bringing this up.
We are looking into this. Can you please confirm that the scope of displaying the default dynamic content translation is limited to:
- ticket / user / org custom field titles
- ticket / user / org custom field values
- ticket subject
Kind regards
Vincent

This would also include other fields:
- Ticket Forms
- Satisfaction Rating
- Satisfaction Reason
- Ticket Group? (I can't remember if DC can even be used in Ticket Groups... we are not doing it but this would be relevant)
Thanks for following back Vincent!

Thank you for these clarifications Zac. Let me work with the team to see how / when we can address this.

Hi Vincent,
Between the items listed by you and Zac, I think that'd be it. I can't think of any other use case.

Hi Vincent,
Any updates on being able to display the default translation for dynamic content items? This would make custom field reporting much much easier for multilingual Zendesks!
Thanks! :)

I hit this issue too. It's very difficult for me to use Explore without dynamic content support for custom fields.

Any update on this?

Dear all,
Good news, we have completed the work required to:
- Show custom field titles (instead of tags)
- Show the english value for dynamic content
We should be launching an EAP shortly to help us validate that feature. If you can't wait, don't hesitate to reach-out to activate that feature on your subdomain,
Kind regards
Vincent

Hi Vincent,
thank you for this update, much appreciated!

Hi Vincent,
I am too having the same issue and being that this is 2 years old, I am thinking that maybe I'm not doing something right.
Just to confirm, I am in Explore and want to report on a custom field. The options in this custom field are filled in with dynamic content placeholders. The output is that the options are displayed by their placeholders. I do have the obvious option of renaming each field, but since I'm doing this for a few custom fields, each with 5-10 dropdowns, it proves rather unproductive. Any suggestions?
Kindly,
Dominic

Hi Dominic Brasoveanu
I just have tested this functionality and I get the English dynamic content value displayed in Explore, not the placeholder. I used the drop-down field.
Maybe there is an issue that affects only some field types. I will create a ticket for you, so you could investigate it
