    Hi Lauren,

    Thanks for posting this feedback. This isn't the case for the out of the box solution but rather a design choice by the team to prevent the button from blocking UI elements inside the Chat or Support dashboard experience.

    By default, when you minimize the widget the chat button will remain visible to reactivate the chat window. You can see this by chatting with the widget on the help center here.

    Thanks for the feedback Ramin. It does make sense however I still think it'd be good perhaps, as a customer, to have the option to be able to minimise or completely remove the widget whilst still in a chat. I know from a perspective of providing screenshots, or navigating around the site whilst on a chat a small box in the corner wouldn't seem to interfere too much, but that's just me :).
