    Hi all -

The product team remains interested in fixing this, but has not yet been able to prioritize it. Please continue contributing to this thread to help gain traction for this request.

Call it what you want Dean - bug or design flaw. Either way, it makes using your chat tedious. Considering you haven't fixed it in four years, I'm done waiting. We are going to look at other options.

I'd agree that showing in UTC and putting that in front of customers doesn't lead to an ideal user experience.

The fact that the time shown is "correct UTC time" does not mean that this isn't a bug. You sell a product that covers numerous timezones, give your users the ability to setup their own timezones.

The bigger issue here is how these problems are handled, deferred, and ignored. I have no faith this gets done and I won't bother posting on your forums anymore. We don't want your macro replies, we want fixes.

    Thanks for the feedback everyone.

We hear you all and your use cases for sure — these aren't being ignored.

I will be sure to update you guys if there are any changes to our plans going forward.

    Apologies for any inconvenience.

JISL, there is no setting, nothing has changed. I was talking about changing my original post as the OP.

Why you are not updating this. as this is very important for all of your customer. try to understand and update this small thing as soon possible. don't give any comment and reason. hope your developer really work. otherwise tell me language of programming that you are using, i will give you source code.

Except that it would wreak the thread history - I was considering simply removing the reference in my original post to making the timestamp in correct timezone and saying just remove the timestamp.

This is only when the record is recorded in Zendesk ticket comments - which are already timestamped (in the correct timezone). So I'd say, just rip the timestamp off.
