We're integrating with Zopim live chat in our app using the iOS and Android SDKs (https://developer.zendesk.com/embeddables/docs/android-chat-sdk). We noticed that the SDK has support for local notifications via the chat bubble widget but it's not extremely reliable.
- If the device is on a poor connectivity or if the app gets killed, it's likely that the user won't get a notification when the agent writes something. And the notification will never get redelivered.
- When a message comes in, there is no other notification than the update on the chat widget or the chat log. So if the user doesn't have the app in their hand or if the device is locked, the user won't know it. It won't vibrate nor emit any noise.
Is there any way to have push notifications support with Zopim chat SDK? I noticed that the support SDK (https://developer.zendesk.com/embeddables/docs/android) has a push notifications feature, is there a similar thing for live chat?
