In our company we have people performing multiple roles, and a support role may be one of many they are doing.
We want to implement chat functionality across all our public facing sites, and the Zendesk Chat widget seems a good fit for us.
However, the one major blocker for us at present is the fact that we need to have a browser window open at all times in order to be able to respond to any chats initiated by a client.
What we would like is for a client to be able to initiate a chat session and for a non-browser based notification to be sent, ideally a Slack notification. This feature is present in almost all other offerings e.g. HubSpot, Intercom etc.
