In the Team Publishing workflow, content creators (aka Publishers) must submit new articles as drafts before they are able to publish the article live. This is because the Team Publishing workflow asks that all new articles go through a review process.
This process works fine when the article creators are not publishers, but becomes a hindrance when publishers are the ones creating new content. Currently, publishers need to save their new article as a draft before they have the option to publish the article.
While it is simply an additional button click, it adds time to a process that is being done in the moment of support. Meaning, any additional time it takes for a publisher to get an article live is time they are not supporting customers, and is time that other agents spend without access to the new information present in the yet-to-be published article.
The easiest solution to this problem is to give publishers the ability to publish their article during the article creation process, not limiting them to save as draft. If we are giving these users the ability to publish articles, then it is signifying that we trust their ability to review their own and other's work. So, they should be able to publish right away.
