Dropdown Field Added Feature Not Wanted
Zendesk by default adds a "-" as one of the options even though the field created as a dropdown is mandatory. What this causes is the user to select "-" when it is not sure.
What is the purpose of creating a mandatory field if you give the user a way out not to answer one of the options?
This to me is not a feature at all but a nuisance; The Agent ends up wasting time going back to the customer to get the option from the dropdown they should have picked in the first place when submitting a ticket through the website form.
I hope this is changed because i am not sure why this was added, can you explain what is the purpose of this?
Thanks,
Yami

Hi Yami
I have just testet this and even though the dropdown has the "-" option, the submission will fail if the field is mandatory. The end-user has to choose something from the dropdown in order to submit.

Yes, they always select the "_" and this is why i wanted to remove this option. That is not our option but Zendesk's option.

Hi,
Do you know if there is a way to place the "-" option at the bottom of the list?
I think this might help.
Thanks,
Yami
