When our pod experienced a severe outage recently, ZD Guide was unavailable for our customers. While ZD Support going down is of course a bummer, the outage is not (immediately) visible to our customers who contact us via email or via our website. On the other hand, when ZD Guide is down, the outage is quite noticeable.
While I'm not surprised and am grateful that the engineers at Zendesk are working to make ZD pods more reliable, is it possible to make ZD Guide specifically more resilient so it's at least partially operational during service outages? (e.g. perhaps a static site is possible). We have higher expectations for uptime for our publicly visible self-service channels than we do for our help desk.
