How do I remove the top level user in Zendesk Sell

    Hi Adam! Great to have you here and thanks for your question, I'm happy to answer!

    Since being a top-level user is an important role in Sell in terms of data access etc., such a user must remain active. So in order to deactivate the current top-level user, some other user must take the topmost place instead.

    Let me show you how to do that:

    1. Choose the user, whom you want to take the topmost place and click on the 'pencil' icon to edit this user's settings.

    2. Note that at the bottom of the window there is an option to "Make the topmost manager" out of the user, as in the screenshot below. Click on that and this user will take the topmost place in the hierarchy.

    TIP - a user who has subordinates in the hierarchy tree, can't be moved to the topmost level. These subordinates will have to be reassigned under some other user first (change the "reports to" setting for them). They can, of course, be reassigned under the previous manager, once he takes the topmost place.

    3. Once there is a new topmost level user, the previous one can be deactivated, as described here -
