Forecast - how to predict next month's ticket
Hello,
New user here. I am trying to forecast created tickets for the next month. I've been playing around with the forecast predictive analysis tool, but it always requests for me to put "ticket created - year" in the columns. If I don't, I get the following error: forecast_error_year_missing
At the moments I have both ticket created - year and ticket created - month, which means that it predicts the next month in the next year - so December 2020, when I want to see December 2019.
Would someone be able to assist?

It sounds like you have your columns the wrong way round.
In your report, ensure that the order of your columns is:
- Ticket Created Year
- Ticket Created Month
It is a little fiddly to drag them into that order. If you are having problems, just delete them both and then add them again.

Dear Graeme,
Thank you for your answer.
When I make that change, the forecasting simply disappears. (see screenshot). And I get this error (see second screenshot) Any idea why? Is this perhaps because I only have around four month of data?

This is my current settings

Yes, I believe you will need to extend your filter to provide more data to complete the forecast.
Give that a try and let us know how you get on.

Hi Graeme,
Turns out we don't have enough data to be doing this yet. Thank you for the help!
