Import csv automatically (using some command)

Hi Hannia - what kind of data are you looking to insert? Are you talking about adding Zendesk users to a Group?

You can definitely use the API for this kind of thing. There are lots of ways to do that. One option would be to create a script using Python that reads in data from a csv file and then pushes that data to Zendesk via an API. You could schedule the script to run at a particular time to take care of the automation.

The Zendesk API documentation can be found here.

There are links to some example scripts written in different languages, including this article that guides you through getting started with Python.

    Hello Hannia.

The primary way to get data in and out of Zendesk products is through their respective REST APIs.

There may be some product specific exceptions, such as explained here for Zendesk Sell.

Can you provide a bit more detail? For example, are you looking at adding users to a group in Zendesk Support in some automated way?

    Hello Bryan

What I am looking for is to add users to a 'group1' group in Zendesk, but so that they can be inserted without having to enter a csv in the Zendesk admin account, but it can be possible every certain time from my website, send that list of users that I want to be added to the 'group1' for example.

    Thanks for that clarification Hannia.

There's no CSV oriented option to accomplish that, however, there is an API that lets you add user in bulk: POST /api/v2/group_memberships/create_many.json

Could this accomplish what you're looking for? You'd have to get the data sent in the JSON format expected and make the call through some sort of script yourself, however.
