Zendesk Sell: emojis available in Smart Lists?

    Hi Sara,

Thanks for reaching out! We currently don't have full support for emojis in Sell, meaning that emojis might not be available on some pages. However, I'd like to understand your need better and advocate for possible future projects around this feature.

    1. Could you let me know what page was the screenshot taken from (where you were able to include an emoji)?
    2. If you don't mind, can you share a bit more on how you are looking to utilize emojis with your team?

Your answers will help me in submitting a feature request on your behalf to our Product Team and best describe the use case. Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions!

    Thanks,

Sure -- so this screenshot was taken from the admin panel when I was configuring Smart List Template for the Deals object.

I'd like to be able to use emojis to make the CRM for visually appealing and to link up common themes between objects. Here's what I mean:

    • I can use a red flag emoji to indicate at at-risk deal in the Zendesk Sell Deal Smart List, but I can also use that same emoji in a Slack update to the leadership team. So, if I use the same emojis in all communications about at-risk (or high-value or any other category of deals) I can create a common understanding that if you see that emoji or signal, that's at-risk. Similarly, I could create a Notion doc (this is where we document our processes and standards) for what to do when a deal is 'at-risk.'
    • I think that emoijs, while a bit simple/silly, are a common way to unify and quickly train new team members.

I hope that's helpful! Feel free to reach out if you need more detail.

    Kind regards,

    Sara

    Hi Sara,

Thank you for the detailed insights! I do agree that emojis could be a good way to encourage user engagement and your example makes a lot of sense.

Currently, Sell performs rather unstably when it comes to using emojis. (I was able to use emojis fine when creating Smart List Templates; other features such as notes or Deal Edit form do not support emojis, however). I'm submitting a feature request/product feedback on your behalf to our Product Team and including the use case you provided. If you are okay with it, I would also want to include your email address and account information in my request for further communications when future projects are planned.

Thanks again for reaching out with your feedback. Please don't hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions or comments!

    Best,

    Serene

Here's an interesting and related article about how emojis are used in work: https://zapier.com/blog/use-emoji/. Especially for fully remote teams.

Any update on the possibility of emojis in Smart List names or Deal names ? It does not work very consistently

That would be a nice way to have nicer looking pages.

    Hi Jean-Sébastien,

At the moment, Zendesk Sell product team doesn't have plans to enable emojis in deal names.

I encourage you to create a new post in the Sell Product Feedback topic in our community Feedback on Sell  to engage with other users who have similar needs and discuss possible workarounds.
Conversations with a high level of engagement ultimately get flagged for product managers to review when they go through roadmap planning.

We truly value customer feedback and your voice and votes in the forums help influence future Zendesk functionality.
