Zendesk Knowledge Capture Link Tracking in Google Analytics
Hi there,
I was encouraged to write this post by one of the Zendesk Customer Advocate's after asking them this question.
Our agents use Knowledge Capture to supply links to our Knowledge Guide, to our customers via email, that lives on Zendesk Guide.
Our Analytics team want to be able to track the traffic that these Knowledge Capture links generate via Google Analytics.
I now understand that Knowledge Capture does not currently add any tagging to the link in order that we can separate out this traffic in Google Analytics, though it'd be incredibly useful if it did.
Has anyone else had this problem, and is there something we would need to do in order to create a workaround?
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Gary

I too would like to capture Knowledge Capture link usage in Google Analytics.
In my quick testing in the sandbox, I do see the links the end users receives are formatted as such:
https://{subdomain}.zendesk.com/hc/{locale}/articles/{article_id}-{article_title}?source=search&auth_token={token}I'd love to know more about the "source" parameter. What other values could it have? Is "search" always associated with Knowledge Capture?
It'd be great to get some more information from Zendesk on this and if this is an accurate way to track Knowledge Capture links in Google Analytics.
