Applying Themes

Hi Bill, themes are pretty easy to import.

I'm assuming you've already added the new theme by importing the theme file? If so, then that's all you need to do. You're done.

Most (if not all) Zendesk themes will follow the same information architecture - categories, sections and articles. So while yours may look different, they still function the same way as they did in Copenhagen. You don't (or shouldn't) need to worry about changing your sections or articles to fit the theme.

And when you import a theme, you should see it on the "customize design" page in Guide. You can view any theme in there by clicking on it. A button should appear saying "view theme" when you hover over a theme.

    Hope that helps!

Thanks for responding and your warm welcome.  I introduced myself in the community page.

I realize I to provide more detail for what I am looking to do...

I have imported my theme - see below.  - Training Team v1.

However, I couldn't figure out how to attach articles, videos, etc, but I could figure this out with our current theme, Copenhagen.  So, I created a copy of our LIve theme and named it "Best Practices".  There I built out sections and linked articles (see below for the structure)

I could go live with this one, but when I showed my boss, she said, "I like the prettier one.  Can you use that?"  So, I was trying to figure out how to make the pretty one work like Copenhagen.  The more I dig into this, the more I am thinking I am not thinking about templates the right way.  For example, I assumed the block act like sections, that is, if I click the upper right block "Training and Operations Documents and Videos", I could go to a list of documents and videos, just like what shows under "Training Best Practices Documents" in Copenhagen, like below but I want this with my Diziana theme.

Or maybe I am overthinking this????

Thanks so much for your help.
