When permissions are removed for a user (leaving company), all articles owned by that user are now marked as Author = Unknown. The reason this becomes an issue is the Knowledge Manager needs to transfer ownership of those articles to another (new) owner/author.
However, in Guide Admin, when you try to search on the user name, it no longer appears in the Author or Owner Dropdown.
This is a big problem as the KMgr needs to go to ZD Agent UI, search on the agent name, Click on HelpCenter to get a list of articles, and change the author/owner manually for EACH article. If the author only has a few articles, it is not too big of a problem. When the author has hundreds of articles, it is not efficient. In fact, you sometimes have to use the API to find all the articles and reassign to someone.
This should be changed in the product. Administration of articles should not be difficult to do and should be efficient. Also, when permissions are removed, the author/owner of those articles should remain on each article.
