We have a significant number of views - each related to a different city where we operate and/or a skill set of people on our team that can answer tickets within that view, i.e. setting up private tours or responding to negative reviews of our activities. While I understand that increasing the number of views that we can see in the sidebar beyond 12 is not the point of this talk, I do want to point out how it's hindering our workflow.
Here is a screenshot of our sidebar, along with a view that I clicked into 'more' to access:
This view (private tours) is FAR more important for our agents to see than suspended tickets or deleted tickets. If there were a way for those 2 views to not default to the sidebar, that would already give us the ability for 2 more useful views. Going one step further, it's important for us to see the number of tickets in each view. Out of sight, out of mind, so when we need to click the 'more' button to access a view, we're less likely to check it. This is by far and away the most significant change that you could make to the views function to allow businesses like ours, and maybe more based on the comments around this topic, to thrive.
