Giphy in Guide articles

although as a small workaround the following seems to work well:

    1. create video using Giphy or equivalent
    2. upload to wistia as mp4 file
    3. customise to hide play bar, autoplay and loop video
    4. embed hosted video link on article

so it's a bit of a pretend gif but will look and feel the same

This is an endless source of frustration for me. My employer has very strict video guidelines. It takes time to go through brand approvals, etc. to get a public facing corporate approved video repository URL. I suggest that Zendesk change the Guide requirement to allow uploading gifs as an image instead of a video.

    Hey All,

I think I must be misunderstanding some of what you're trying to achieve, but you can insert the image into the article or drag and drop it into the editor. We don't have a direct integration with Giphy in the article editor where you can provide a link to the file and automatically insert it, but you should be able download the gif and then insert it into the article. You should't need to go through the step of hosting the file on Wistia or another video hosting provider.

Perhaps you can provide me with some example files or articles that you're trying to embed gifs in and I can help troubleshoot.

    Thanks!
