Sales Pipeline sub stages

    Thanks for reaching out! 

    I will be sure to pass your feedback along to our Product Team because that is a great suggestion to allow for multiple phases/substages of a stage in your sales pipeline. 

    I'd like to offer two options below: 

    1. Adding more stages to your pipeline: 

    • If every deal in your sales pipeline must go through these stages, I would suggest adding these stages to your sales pipeline. (Adding stages to your sales pipeline)
    • The reason the closure state of a deal offers won, lost and unqualified, is because a deal has reached the end of its lifecycle and cannot be in all three of these stages. Additionally, it is not typical for a deal to go through all three of those stages. In other words, a deal does not typically go from lost to won to unqualified in any order (which is why we have these three options at the end of your pipeline instead of somewhere in the middle of your deal process). 

    2. Add deal drop-down custom fields: 

    • Similar to lead statuses, you can create drop-down custom fields that clearly designates the sub-stage of a deal. (Creating and managing custom fields in Sell)
    • Create a drop-down deal custom field with the names of your substages.
    • On your deal smart list, you can filter to see deals in a specific stage AND specific substage using this drop-down field.
