Zendesk recognizes tickets created from a geo-location. The idea here would be to via triggers add the country to user data without requesting the end user to pick a country. I might send in a ticket from the Help Center or via the Widget and have the requirement to add a country - but if I pick any old country, it's not really good data. So instead, you would circumvent this requirement from the end user - and add the location based on the geolocation.
This would however need to thought through, so that end users who use VPN, or other tools to mask their location could still be added in accurately.
