Ability to remove views from certain groups
Posted Jan 08, 2021
I have encountered a dilemma where:
- There are views available for all Agents within an instance, regardless of group.
- I have created views for a specific group with specific conditions that touch on the other views that are available for all Agents (so now there are 2 views with same tickets but data specific to this group that they need to see).
From what I could see, there is not a way to remove a single group from "available for all Agents" option within the View permissions. This has filled up their views and I have resorted to creating an empty view just to separate what is being used and what is not being used.
There are a lot of Groups in this instance that need access to the "All" views so it would be very time consuming to list every Group rather than exclude a certain group. It would be beneficial if there was a way to have an option to not show for a certain group.

Hello Zendesk team.
Is there an update on this? THis really feels like this should be possible.
Kind regards,
Louis

We are also looking for the ability to exclude groups from certain views:
View 1a (New) - Group A
View 1b (New) - Group B
View 1c (New) - Group C
View 2a (Pending) - Group A
View 2b (Pending) - Group B
View 2c (Pending) - Group C
View 3 (New) - All
View 3 (Pending) - All
View 3 (On-Hold) - All
We have multiple use cases where we have users that belong in Group A & B or B & C and they would need to only have one of the 'New' views which are catered to their specific needs (a single column added). We Also would like to utilize the 'All' view but with exclusions "+All -GroupA -GroupB". Currently instead of "All" we are manually adding 20+ groups individually. This would allow to onboard another group and they would still be able to utilize the 'All' view until we excluded them.

Yes, please, to exclude groups! So time consuming that if not All, then the groups need to be added individually!
We have department and brand specific view requirements. The department with most users has many groups, so adding them all per view is a huge waste of time and a motivation killer.

+1 this is definitely something needed and something we still struggle with. There are views shared with everyone but there are columns I want to add, just for myself and not for everyone. So I have to have a personal view that exact same but with additional columns but the original view is taking up one of the 12 spots I can have
