Why is the total number of End Users under People different then the json file I downloaded in Report?
I am comparing the total number of End Users from the settings menu to the total number of users in a json file I downloaded through Reports. I changed the "From Date" to a date before we started using Zendesk and selected “Users”.
I would have expected these 2 numbers to be the same. What is causing the difference? What am I missing?

Hi there,
Hope all is well! I believe the number of end-users from the People page should be included in the number of exported users from the Reporting page.
For now, I can't say what might be missing here without seeing how exactly you exported the users from the Reporting page and the exact result showing the number but from the sound of things, my theory is that the filter date may need to be adjusted. I can check it better if you could share a screenshot of how you are exporting the users from the Reporting page and the result showing the numbers.

Hi @...
The screenshot of the reporting page is what I used when I downloaded it.
- The “From” date was a date before we started using ZD,
- The “To” date was the current date of running the report.
- Type: “Users”
- I uploaded the json file into a converter (http://convertcsv.com/json-to-csv.htm)
- I compared the number of entries in the report to the People page.
There is a difference of a few hundred, which I can’t seem to reconcile. I looked at number of agents, groups, roles…etc and nothing seems to add up. I appreciate your help!
