Hi Community!

I am looking for suggestions or best practice on managing LinkedIn comments/requests. I am aware that Zendesk does not have a native integration with LinkedIn, but I haven't found any good app solutions either.

We have a social team that manages LinkedIn comments, but we are unable to send private messages unless it is through our employee's personal LinkedIn account. This has been difficult to navigate, because customers will comment on posts, and directing them to support addresses is a challenge when they are trying to receive support through a social channel.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Hi Danielle,

There are third-party apps and integrations which can help integrate your Zendesk and LinkedIn accounts. Zapier and automate.io are the most commonly-used apps for this scenario.

Best,

Although it may not have all the functionality you are looking for...

Another option is to use the Linkzen Chrome Extension which allows you to add leads directly from the LinkedIn website

Hi Phil and community, is anyone using the Linkzen Chrome Extension and getting it to work? Installed it properly and followed all the steps but won't get it working. Would love to be able to use exactly something like this, please keep me posted in case you have any other tool recommendations.

Laura Sällberg it may be worth reaching out to the developer of that app directly from the extension page if you're running into any issues. I don't have experience using the app but perhaps they can help!

hello Laura Sällberg I'm also looking for this solution. As far as I know, you should copy the OAuth2 token from Zendesk (Settings --> OAuth2) and paste it into the Chrome extension Linkzen. Let me know if it works.

Alternatively, it would be great if someone from Zendesk could help us with this integration via Zapier. Brett Bowser do you have any suggestions, or can you delegate us to the right person? Thank you!

Hi Wojciech,

The Linkzen Chrome Extension is a third-party app and is unsupported by Zendesk. We suggest contacting the creator of the app to get assistance with the installation steps. You should be able to reach out to the developer of that app directly from the extension page.

Hi Laura Sällberg and Wojciech Pindel - sorry for the delay in getting back to you, I've just seen these messages

We recently launched a new version of the Chrome Extension here:

Here's a short video of the app in action (+ setup guide):

If you've any questions / issues please let me know :)

Thanks!
