Ability to receive calls through the Zendesk app

If we are paying for Talk, we 100% should have the ability to answer calls from the mobile app. Right now we have to be logged on a web browser in order to be online and available. If we are just on the mobile app, it doesn't show that we are online. This is far from satisfactory.

We understand that you are unable to transfer Talk calls to your mobile device, and we apologize for any frustration this may have caused. In most cases, you can forward calls to your mobile device without needing to be logged and active in the web browser; you just need to set your Talk status as "online" in the Support mobile app. However, if you have omnichannel routing enabled — which must be your case — this is indeed not possible yet. We're aware of this limitation and our mobile team is working to address it. We appreciate your feedback and will pass it along to the team. They will respond to you as soon as possible.

Upvote from me on this.  Having a "forwarded number" is handy, but only meets a percentage of the mobile workforce, and discounts entirely those that need to be able to handle customers while away from a full-featured web browser.

This would be extremely helpful for us. We are a hair salon and are using ZenDesk through our computers at the front desk for Talk. We would love for this to work via their phone app.

How do you Sell a CRM system with a mobile app and NOT have the ability to answer calls?!

Agree 100% please add ability to actually use the phone capabilities on the mobile app. Seems like a no brainer. After migrating from RingCentral I am lost without mobile calling.

We have better talk capabilities in the mobile app on our backlog and when we get to a position of adding this capability, I'll update here.

My rep primarily uses her iPhone to do all her work, we sometimes need to make outbound calls, and would LOVE to be able to make those calls using the caller ID of our Zen phone/text number. 

Please Please get this into development ASAP!

I am also in favor of introducing such a function. Our salespeople go to customers and this option would be great. I received information from Zendesk support to comment here and up-vote the issue. This is an important feature that is missing for me.

Unfortunately, as of 2020, Zendesk hasn't done anything about it.

Same here, this would be a very useful feature for our application engineers and is one of the reasons why they are still reluctant to use Zendesk to start with. This would solve a lot of problems for us with regards to communication tracking.

Up vote from me. Integrating inbound and outbound call functionality into app would be an useful feature for our marketing team who are currently relying on their personal devices for ease of interactions on the move/during the content creation process. This change will improve their workflow and ensure that Zendesk remains the central hub for customer interactions.
