send alert to Apple Watch
AnsweredIs there a way to get an alert on AppleWatch?
On iPhone I get the Zendesk alert in the notification screen, but with the all sounds off, it is useful to have an haptic alert on an Apple Watch that a new ticket or ticket reply has been received.
Is the current alert on the iPhone notification screen the Connect service that is being disconnected Oct 31, 2021 ?
If this is yes, do I need to set up the Apple Push Notification Service anyway (https://support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360022363173-Setting-up-Apple-Push-Notification-Service-iOS-) and will this push to Apple Watch as well?

Hi Peter,
Connect as a whole is what is being removed Oct 31 2021. If you are getting notifications from another application, then you will not be impacted by this.
As per the notifications, I am no proficient with the development on Apple Watch, but if the notifications are simply redirected from your phone to your watch when your screen is locked, then displaying notifications on your watch could be possible.
Now if you want to send notifications directly to your watch, then the watch device would have to be directly registered as a device, and I would therefore not expect it to be possible.

Thank you Jean-Charles,
notifications are getting through at the moment, may have taken a while before all applications were properly registered on the watch.
I will keep an eye open for post Oct 31, hopefully this is not affected. As a feature request: when I have a lot of interactions with a user (and the user only does email), the length of the emails may grow enormously while my comments may be very short e.g. in answer #16 I just say OK.
It would be great of there is an option where you can exclude ticket history when posting a new answer. -
Hi Peter,
Glad to hear this is working for you.
For the mail issue, if you are talking of outbound emails adding the previous comments of the ticket to the reply, if the email was sent via a trigger on the instance, I would advise checking those triggers and whether they have any placeholders in them, and especially {{tickets.comments_formatted}}, as those will add all the comments of the ticket to the outbound mail.

Thank you, that did the trick !
These trigger rules were made in 2012 so clearly not top of my mind anymore :-)
