Webhook API Events

Planned

Posted Nov 04, 2021

Hello, is it possible to use the Webhook and Trigger APIs for events regarding Organizations and Users, or are they available only on a Ticket level?

i.e. I would like to be able to receive a webhook when an Organization is created.

Hey Pavel

While we don’t currently have support for Organization and User events with Webhooks, this is something the team is planning to work on in the next year.

As has been suggested, in the meantime, you can leverage Zendesk Integration Services (ZIS) to develop an integration flow based on these events. ZIS is an ideal solution if you are looking to perform data synchronization between Zendesk and external systems or for triggering automated workflows in another system.

Hi Pavel! Since webhooks are used by Triggers and Automations, they are only available for ticket events and not for anything else, such as orgs and users. We do have another option that would allow you to set this up, however it is much more complex than implementing a simple webhook, as you would need to build an entire integration. This would be done through Zendesk Integration Services (ZIS) and you can see more in our reference documentation here.

Let us know if you have any questions about this!

Hi Greg Katechis

I want to perform some business logic during every user creation in Zendesk. I'm not able to view the event for user creation in Zendesk integration services. So how can I achieve this?

Hi Kithiyon! Since this was originally posted, we have added the functionality to build a webhook off of a user creation event and you can see the documentation for that here. For information on how to set up webhooks in general, take a look at these docs.
