MacOS dictation function won't work for text entry in tickets

The ability to use the Dictation function built into MacOS does not work when trying to enter text in a ticket response. When a cursor is in the text field and will accept typing, trying to use Dictation freaks out and causes non-stop repeats of the dictated phrase, etc. It just goes haywire... 

Whether a bug in the UI, or something that can be "made available" from MacOS I don't know? 

Zendesk is the only thing I've ever used that doesn't not play well with the Dictation function in MacOS. In everything else system-wide, if you can type in a field, you can dictate into it as well.

The ability to speak a response using Mac's dictation ability vs. typing everything *greatly* speeds our ability to respond to tickets efficiently.

I am having this exact issue and it is extremely annoying. I use dictation often to save wear and tear on my aging fingers and wrists, and Zendesk is the only app that has this issue.

Just bumping this to hopefully keep it active and on the dev team radar. Being able to dictate responses versus typing would be a quantum increase in speed/ability to handle more tickets...

Doesn't work for Voice Typing with Microsoft either.  I submitted a ticket #12264133. This is the ONLY website that has exhibited this problem. A script conflict on the site? Every other website with a text box that I've seen is able to allow for dictated content. My direct experience on this is with Sell. I do not use other Zendesk products at this time.

An update from my side:

Eric Thompson I do not have the issue of it looking empty - both internal and public comments accept text via dictation on macOS Sonoma.

Also, I no longer have the "crazy text repetition" reported earlier. However, what continually fails while using Dictation in Zendesk is formatting...phrases like "Next paragraph" have no effect in Zendesk, but function on any other website I visit.

I can now confirm that the unusable "crazy text repetition"  is no longer occurring in Sonoma. Hallelujah!

I can also confirm from Tim B. that formatting phrases are not recognized, although (thank goodness) punctuation marks like saying "period" and "comma" do work as expected.

So I'll take the almost win and just keep my fingers on the return key for para breaks, etc.

I'm bumping this again with the hopes that Zendesk support will finally recognize that they have an issue with dictation in their Support App. I've made a new video showing how it works properly in TextEdit, but not in Zendesk Support.
