While you can't directly change or update the meta tags for the help center document, here's an article which goes in to a bit of detail about how some of these fields are populated and how you can manage them with content in your help center.
I hope this helps! Feel free to reach out with any questions.

Is there any plan to add the ability to add/edit the meta title and description? (this seems quite important for SEO)

Hi Lorenzo,
I'm not aware of any plans to change the functionality of meta tags for the help center. That said, I'd encourage you to take a look at the article I linked above which explains how they work in their current form.
Thanks!

Thank you Tipene for the response - I had a look at the article, though as I understand it the system automatically populates the meta description with the first 140 characters of the article (hence there is no option to have a meta description of a different character length and/or with different content than the beginning of the article)?
Also, to check: is the system creating a meta title which corresponds to the title of the article? (it would appear so based on a couple of the screenshots in the article, although this is not clearly defined)
Is there a way to submit suggestions for feature improvements like this?
The Zendesk Guide features and ease of use are pretty great, well done to the team for it, albeit for limitations like this which would make it even more powerful and would remove the need to move to a more fully-fledge website builder for advanced brand visibility and features.

Yes, you're correct on both counts. The meta description will be generated from the first 140 characters of the article or post, and the document title will be generated based on the title of the article or post (or category/section, depending on the page).
Here's a link to our feedback forum for Guide where you can create a feedback post which our product teams will have visibility over. I'd encourage you to make use of the feedback post template so our team has as much information as possible.
