Zendesk JIRA Integration - Send Attachments to Zendesk Tickets via JIRA
Posted Aug 16, 2022
The ability to add attachments from JIRA when replying to a Zendesk ticket does not appear to be supported.
I would have expected this as a standard: the use case is that we process RMAs via JIRA and our Logistics staff, who do not have Zendesk agent licenses, need to communicate with customers and send them invoices, as well as customs and shipping related documents.
Would you please add the ability to attach documents in the JIRA integration when replying to customers via Zendesk? Many thanks for your consideration.
Is there a workaround for accomplishing this in the meantime?

Hey Suzan Kowalski,
Thanks for the feedback and suggestion. I can also see a ticket has been raised regarding this - I'll be in touch to discuss and understand your use case a little better.

Hi Suzan Kowalski,
Indeed it is not possible to have this functionality using the standard integration.
A great alternative to does provide sending attachments plus a host of other features is Exalate.
It also provides extensive sync/integration configurations and the ability to map all kinds of information from ZenDesk to Jira and the other way around as well.
If you have any questions or need any support please let me know.

Suzan, you'll need extra effort to achieve this. There are tools available (you can check the marketplaces) that can help you connect Jira&Zendesk, transfer data between them and keep them synced at all times. Such a solution is ZigiOps.
