    I agree at present the only option I see is to Inactivate a custom ticket status.  Which unfortunately any trigger or automation using that inactive custom ticket status.  In addition once you inactivate the custom ticket status, it still shows up in the dropdown list for ticket status when editing an existing trigger even though no tickets exists in the instance with that inactive custom ticket status.

    If you create a personalized status in the wrong category, you can no longer delete it, even though it is not used anywhere.
