I expected

No bugs.

I got

Lots of bugs. Soo many. Here are the kind of bugs I get - its the grid not snapping in many situations.

thanks for sharing your feedback about the new dashboard builder.

As far as I can see from the GIF, you seem interested in swapping the position of two components.
Based on the layout you've shared I would recommend you use "Align to left" or "Align to top".

For now, I'm using align to top. Free placement seems totally broken.

My report is about that the free placement seems broken. The use case I showed was just to demonstrate where it didn't work, if you're interested in fixing it. For my part, so far I have managed with top-left placement. But we don't want broken features in a product, is my point.
