Export end users from specific View

Answered

Posted Oct 09, 2023

I am searching for an option to export end-user data/tickets from one specific view. This request was already back in 2013 but since then I have not been able to find any related topic. Any experience??

Hi Tereza Hurychova,

If I'm not mistaken, you want to export tickets from a view that was submitted by a specific end-user. This is possible provided that there's a unique tag associated with this end-user. The tag can be used then as a condition in the view you will be creating.

Here's a sample for reference:

Hope this helps!

Hi @Arianne Batiles, Let me clarify it. The view is already created and we have there backlog of 2,000 tickets.  These tickets we need to export into an Excel sheet and we want to analyze them. No specific tag is attached. However, the request email is the same for all tickets. Would that be something that could help?  Any advice?

Tereza Hurychova I recommend that you download the Advanced Search App, which is free and built by Zendesk.  You can then put in the email of your customer in the Requester field, and even select the columns that you want to export

Thanks a lot, Fernando. The Advanced Searched App does not work for us however I found Advanced Export and this free app export tickets include the content. The best solution that is available.

Hey Tereza Hurychova,

You should be able to export a list of tickets in a View to a CSV file. This article on Exporting a view of tickets to a CSV file explains the steps.

If you're looking to export just the list of end users with tickets in that view, the CSV export may include the list of users, or you could explore recreating the View conditions using Customer Lists which is an add-on.

I hope this helps.

James
