Configuring multiple Zendesk instances
Answered
Posted Dec 08, 2023
Hello!
We have multiple teams using Zendesk and Jira
Right now, every ticket sends the same fields to Jira.
I'd like to have it so that certain Zendesk tickets sync with one set of fields and the other tickets sync a different set of fields.
If we could install the Zendesk Support for JIRA app twice I think we could separate them using [Team A].zendesk.com and [Team B].zendesk.com
Or is there another solution?

Hi Ben!
I don't think you could install multiple instances of the same app (maybe with Zendesk's help you could?) but you could setup the automations manually using triggers and webhooks to send that information to and from Jira.
Check out this infomration about the Zendesk / Jira API and see if that solves what you're looking for: Jira Integration API | Zendesk Developer Docs

Hi Ben,
In case you are using different brands it will be possible to install the app for every brand. In case of usage API you will be able to sync the different fields also by using webhooks/ API requests.
We are using the studio of Knots.io for parcing and sync.
Regards, Stephan

Natively this is challenging, but +1 for Knots.io here.

Hi Ben Silver we'd be happy to help. As Stephan and Brandon mentioned our App which takes care of API Data Sync would be the solution here: https://knots.io/zendesk-apps/api-data-sync/
We provide free setup and there is a 14-day free trial as well if you want to test it out.
Please also feel free to reach out to me directly at hassan@knots.io if you have any questions.

Hello
With Exalate, you can have different tickets send different fields.
That is totally within it's Groovy Scripting Capability!
Exalate is a decentralized integration solution, where you can granuarly decide which data will be send over.
